BUS 477 - New Venture Planning

Thanks for participating in "the dating game".  We have fifteen (15) teams going into the semester. Assuming there are 3 cash prizes in the Ken Spencer competition, you have a 1:5 chance of putting some cash in your pocket in this class!

Teams are listed in order of when they were formed and submitted to the instructors (e.g. Team 1 was the first to form, etc.)  Apologies if your name is spelled incorrectly... it was a bit hectic!  The teams you selected are noted below with "E" showing the name of the Engineering students and "B" the business students.  Please review briefly to make sure this accurately reflects your team. 

If you are hoping for an "A" in this course and a good crack at winning prize money in the Ken Spencer competition, you should have by now: 

• exchanged names, telephone numbers and email addresses with your team members
• confirmed the dates you will meet as a team during the season.  (Recommend you meet at leasttwice per month!)
• taken an inventory of skills by team member with an aim to assigning functional responsibility
• come up with a short list of names for your venture.  
• come up with a draft executive summary and elevator pitch that describes what business you are in and why it is a good business
